On behalf of Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), I wish all of you Happy Lunar New Year and great luck in the Year of Tiger!

2021 has passed and what makes us lament is that being survive is a triumph, and as long as we are healthy and alive, we can still pursue adversity and soar against the odds.

As the pandemic continues and we witness its impact on all sectors, enterprises must rethink their future business models to face the changing market and prepare for the post-pandemic new norm.

All industries are re-evaluating their operating environments and businesses model to adapt the rapidly changing period, especially in traditional industries, which need to make better use of technology such as social media and mobile applications to enhance their product competitiveness and service quality. At the same time, enterprises also taking the initiative to seek change and explore the digital economy in order to broader prospects for growth.

Sustainable development has become an important trend, and more and more enterprises are integrating sustainability into their development strategies. Therefore, enterprises are encouraged to transform their business models in order to expand new business opportunities, create new revenue sources and drive their future growth.

We also appreciate the government's announcement of RM 1billion in the budget 2022 to help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to enhance their sustainability and implement low-carbon initiatives.

The implemented of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) and CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement) comes at an opportune time when the world economy is facing a lot of uncertainties in its recovery, and will help drive the recovery of the world economy from the impact of the pandemic.

Under RCEP and CPTPP, Malaysia and China not only carry out high-quality cooperation between the two countries, but also give full play to the complementarity of each other's advantages and achieve a win-win situation.

Last but not least, in the Year of Tiger, I would like to wish all of you forge ahead with the vigor and vitality of the tiger. In year 2022, together we take a new paths, break new ground and creating emerging field.

Thank you.
